Julia Speller

Director of Christian Education

 
D r. Julia M. Speller serves as the Director of Christian Education. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Chicago State University, a Master of Religious Education degree from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in the History of Christianity from the University of Chicago.
 
Dr. Speller has been a member of Trinity since 1968, and served on the staff as the Church Secretary from 1970-74 and Youth Church Administrator from 1978-83. In 1985, she became the Assistant Director of Christian Education, later advancing to Director of Christian Education in 1987. Among other things, she has written curriculum as well as planned and facilitated numerous church-wide retreats and educational programs, both locally and nationally. Her overall ministry commitment is the support and empowerment of church leaders.
