Acculturation
These ministries are intimately involved in assuring the spirit of Trinity UCC is evident from the moment members, and importantly guests, step into our church. From a hearty welcome, to a walk through our new member process, they are charged with providing loving assistance to all who enter here.
Working together with Team Trinity, they make sure members and guests can focus on worship with no environmental distractions.

Children
Youth are the life blood of a growing congregation, and the development and protection of our children is one of our highest callings. Trinity UCC has an abundance of ministries to support the spiritual, physical and intellectual development of our children.
From tutorial programs to help them excel in school, to youth trustee and usher ministries that prepare them for a life of service, to the dance, drill, and choir ministries that deepen their understanding of our faith, and involve them intimately in Worship Service, there is an opportunity for children of all ages to participate. Family
Strengthening the spiritual and community connections of families, and the individuals of which they are comprised, our Family Ministries provide stimulating engagement of our senior community and grandparents, a loving and caring environment for Trinity UCC singles, powerful faith and relationship building for our married couples.

LGBT Family Ministry (3rd Saturdays, 1:00 pm) – The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Family Ministry as a part of the Trinity United Church of Christ’s (Trinity UCC’s) faith community, seeks to positively transform attitudes toward individuals who identify as LGBT through Christian Education, Fellowship, Service and Outreach programming within and outside of the walls of Trinity United Church of Christ. Health & Wellness
Spiritual health, physical health and mental health are all critical to our holistic well-being. Our Health and Wellness ministries support programs, events and advocacy. Yoga for a sound mind and body, Can-Cer-Vive as a support group for those experiencing or in remission from cancer, Immabasi as a source for health education and advocacy, and others, strive to assure our members, and our community, are afforded the health they deserve.

LupusThe Lupus Support Ministry meets quarterly on the third Saturday of the month, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (September, December, March, June).The mission of the Lupus Support Ministry is to support individuals and families affected by the disease, both within the church community and the community at large. We seek to educate and increase awareness of Lupus and its affects among health professionals and the public through church and community outreach activities. We provide reliable and accurate information, respond to requests for information, and offer someone to talk to. We partner with others who can lend further support to our mission.

Liberation & Outreach
Trinity UCC is a social justice church. The heart of our social justice ministry resides within the Liberation and Outreach ministries.
These ministries struggle with the justice issues of our day: Connecting and fighting for Africans in Diaspora; Identifying and educating on sustainability, food deserts/swamps, and recycling; Feeding the hungry; Caring for the spiritual needs of the incarcerated, as well as the recently released; Ending domestic violence; and providing housing to those in need, and much more.

Praise & Worship
Delivering a powerful worship experience for three services every Sunday, for praise and bible study each Wednesday, and for special services throughout the year, is a daunting task. And, certainly, without the loving service of our Praise and Worship ministries, would be impossible.
These ministries include everything from our Trustees, Deacons, Greeters, Sanctuary Choir and Alma Ya Sali (our signing ministry), and Media Ministry, among others.

Teens
Helping out children bridge the path through their teens, into adulthood, Trinity UCC teen ministries provide safe outlets, loving mentoring and education opportunities. (All adults working with Youth Ministries must complete Youth Ministry training.)
Ministries provide teens with an opportunity to deepen their involvement with worship services through praise and dance, and provide them with a greater understanding of the Lord we serve as they become immersed in our church through their service as Junior Deacons.

Women
Serving our Lord with fervor and devotion, the women’s ministries include several that support the wonderful worship experience at Trinity UCC, including our Women’s Chorus, Drill Team and Dance Ministry.
In addition our women come together in ministry to support the young ladies of Trinity, through Intonjane, and to support each other through the Sisterhood ministry.
