Calvon Jones

   

Associate Pastor, Youth and Children

 
R ev. Jones serves as the Associate Pastor to Youth and Children. He received his Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School, with a concentration in Homiletics and Practical Theology. During Rev. Calvon Jones’ time at Yale Divinity School, he was honored as a distinguished William Sloane Coffin scholar in recognition for his commitment to social-justice. He also was honored to receive the Charles Mersick Prize for continuing students who showed marked improvement in effective public address, especially in preaching. He graduated with the highest award, the Henry Hallam Tweedy Prize for Exceptional Promise in Pastoral Leadership. He is a graduate of Morehouse College, Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
 
Rev. Jones believes that religion is the spiritual compass that informs our daily lives and should be the force that compels us to fight for those whose voices are not heard. He shares that “Trinity is my home and I have fallen in love with my Trinity-family. I am honored to serve on the team as an Associate Pastor and I do not take this call lightly.
