Honoring Black History and MAAFA

As we enter Black History Month, Trinity United Church of Christ invites you to join us in reflection, remembrance, and celebration. This February, we honor MAAFA—a Kiswahili term meaning “great disaster”—which acknowledges the enduring impact of the Transatlantic Slave Trade and the resilience of Black people throughout history. This year, we uplift the powerful tradition radical black arts that have given voice to struggle, resistance, and hope across generations.
